Measured, sustainable AI operations
Monitor the AI that runs where your data lives.
Horizon Portal is the monitoring layer for self-hosted AI. It reads real power, waste heat, Scope 2 carbon and cost from the machines your models actually run on, and traces every number from the token to the grid factor. Nothing leaves your perimeter.
Instrumented, not estimated. Every figure traces back to a machine you own.

Document summary · qwen3:14b on RTX 5090
Measured on our own kit: qwen3:14b on an RTX 5090, 67.51 tok/s at 210.41 W, aggregated from 279 samples (2026-02-28 to 2026-04-29). The workload is the 2,000-in / 500-out document-summarisation reference the rate card uses, so both describe the same job. Duration, energy, carbon and cost are computed from those inputs, never asserted — carbon at the DESNZ 2026 factor, cost at the 26.35 p/kWh rate the rate card prices from. Cost is electricity only; hardware is in the tokenomics table. Fleet · 24h: Alt Horizon's own fleet, 16 endpoints, as of 16 July 2026.
Tooling
What the portal actually shows.
Three of the surfaces that live behind the login: power and carbon per location, waste heat you can put to work, and the gap between what your meter reads and what your kit actually draws.
Waste heat = power drawn (first law). Recoverable.
of the metered circuit is measured IT load
Representative of the live Horizon Portal. Per-site watts and meter readings are real (Alt Horizon's own kit); heat-reuse and cooling-offset figures are illustrative pending a live wire-up.
Measured, not modelled
From the token to the grid factor, and the heat in between.
Cloud AI shows you a token and a bill. Because Horizon Portal runs on your hardware, every link between them is visible, including the waste heat, which most reporting forgets is recoverable.
Cloud shows the first and last node. Horizon Portal exposes every link.
One agent
Three modes. ESG leads.
ESG
5 collectors
Energy, heat and apportionment. Scope 2 from primary counters across Windows, macOS, Linux, Proxmox and pfSense. No security, no software inventory, no AI surface.
Cyber
8 collectors
Cyber Essentials Plus A4–A8 evidence, CIS-style topology, IASME-shaped export. Observability only. It refuses every command that would touch the host.
Horizon
15 collectors
The whole estate: health, hardware, containers, network, power, thermals, AI models, Proxmox & PBS, logs, Hermes and CE+ evidence. For hosts you run end to end.
Same installer, same outbound-only path. You pick the mode when you generate the install token; the server enforces it on every check-in.
Tokenomics
The full cost, not just the bill.
Your workload, priced both ways. Self-hosted exposes measured power, the waste heat you can put back to work, and carbon you can trace to source. Cloud shows the bill and asks you to trust the rest.

The comparison you can defend to a CFO and a sustainability officer in the same meeting.
Cloud £/1M-token prices are scraped live from each provider weekly. The self-hosted rates are computed from real tokens-per-second on real GPUs, anonymously aggregated from production agents, not vendor spec sheets (June 2026). The power, energy and heat figures for the self-hosted tiers are representative examples, not measured. Waste heat equals total energy drawn by design: by the first law essentially all the electricity a GPU consumes leaves as heat, so the same kWh you pay to compute is the kWh available to reuse in a heated space. Carbon at the DESNZ 2026 factor (0.13096 kg CO₂e/kWh, location-based), gov.uk.
Deploy
Two ways in.
- We host Horizon Portal and operate the fleet with you.
- Measured power, Scope 2 and cost from day one.
- UK-resident Postgres, outbound-only, 90-day retention.
- Runs on your own kit: Docker, PostgreSQL, Redis.
- One agent, three modes, server-enforced.
- SHA-256-verified updates, one-line uninstall.
Pricing is deliberately not published here yet. Indicative only, confirmed on a call. No invented numbers.
Next step
Bring a real workload.
Send us something you actually run: operational, security-evidence or ESG. We'll show you what the platform measures, where the chain of custody lives, and how the numbers come out the other side. If the answer is that you shouldn't self-host, we'll show you that too.
